Power Supply Application:
This custom made switched mode power supply is designed to supply the electronics of a medical scanner used for militaries and animals. The application demands an uninterruptible output power in case of the AC mains power interrupts or when operating on battery power. The application is in compliance with IEC 601-1 BF medical safety standards.
Model description:
The first converter generates a DC BUS voltage to supply the main converter, high voltage converter and the battery charger. In combination with a lead acid battery, the unit can be used during field operations where no AC mains is available. The battery provides also a full no break function during AC mains power interruptions.
The main power supply circuitry is based on the push-pull principle. This provides a high level of reliability, a good efficiency and a compact size. A third converter is used to generate three high output voltages. The unit has a remote on/off functionality and the high voltage outputs can be switched on and off separately by external inputs.
