Power Supply Application:

This custom made switched mode power supply is designed to supply the electronics of a digital control board and the analogue signal amplifiers used in professional weighing systems. The connection to the customer’s control board is achieved by 8 solder pins at the bottom side of the SMPS.

Model Description:

The power supply uses a fly back converter topology. This cost effective and compact size principle provides a good efficiency and a high reliability level. The accuracy of the three output voltages is achieved by a special design without the use of voltage regulators. This results in a very high overall efficiency.

Protection:
A power fail signal is integrated to prevent data loss at the customer’s control board. The SMPS is equipped with a current limitation circuitry providing protection against all overload- and short circuit conditions.

Mechanical construction:

The power supply has a semi-enclosed construction and is designed in such a way to ensure mechanical strength. It is capable of cooling by means of free air convection, without the need of metal heatsinks.

A metal sheet cover is designed at customer’s request, which will prevent contact with the primary parts.
