Power Supply Application:
This custom made switched mode power supply is designed to supply the electronics of an artificial respiration unit, which is used for patient home care. The application is characterized by fluctuating power demands of a DC motor and an extended lifetime with limited convection of air at an elevated ambient temperature.
Furthermore, the application must
immediately be switched on after touching one single key.
Model Description:
The power supply converter circuitry is based on the single-ended feed-forward topology. This cost effective and compact size principle provides a good efficiency and a high reliability level.
The +40V output has a remote on/off function to switch the DC powered motor on/off. A TTL compatible power fail signal is integrated in the power supply to prevent data loss in case of an interrupted AC mains.
The PSU is equipped with an autorange circuitry to ensure compatibility with common AC input voltages.
