Power Supply Application:

This custom made switched mode power supply is designed to supply the electronics of a professional audio- and video amplifier. The PSU is part of a security surveillance system.

Model Description:

The power supply circuitry is based on a self oscillating flyback principle. This provides a very high level of reliability and a good efficiency. The implementation of a special circuit makes it possible to use a MOSFET as switching element in the self oscillating flyback topology.

Due to this, the maximum switching frequency and efficiency can be greatly increased. Together with the low component count, this results in a compact size and a very high reliability.

The special design and the addition of extra filtering, make the noise level on all three outputs very low. In this particular application, the PCB is also used as an interconnection board.
