Power Supply Application:

This custom made switched mode power supply is designed to supply the electronics of a range of different mass flow and pressure sense equipment. The application is typified by a high demand of stability and the presence of high frequency ripple and noise on the output(s). Furthermore, it demands a high reliability and extended lifetime with limited air convection at an elevated temperature.

Model Description:

The power supply uses a flyback converter topology. This cost effective principle provides a wide input voltage range and a high efficiency.

Inputs and Outputs:
Three versions of the PSU are developed with the following inputs/outputs:

• An universal AC mains input, with a single 24 volt output.
• An universal AC mains input, with
  triple outputs: +5 volt and ±15 volt.
• A low AC/DC input voltage (24 volt) with triple outputs: +5 volt and ±15 volt.

Protections:
All outputs are fully protected against overload and short circuit conditions with automatic recovery after removal of the concerning fault condition.

Mechanical construction:

The units have a closed metal housing. Versions with an AC mains inlet are in accordance with IEC320-C14 and contain a fuse holder and switch. The 24 volt input versions are provided with a round 4 pins Amphenol input connector.

Both versions are available with and without the Phoenix input voltage feed thru connector. The outputs are available via a cable loom with a flying lead connector.
