East Asian production

Total Power Europe has the disposal of its own progressive and high quality production facility in East Asia. Our Taiwanese production TekPower International Co., Ltd acts as the logistic and technical centre of a fixed group of approved and regularly audited subcontractors, which results in the available employment of over 240 people. This set up makes the organisation very flexible. Within this group the following production disciplines are carried out:

• Metalwork
• Inductive component assembly
• Wiring assemblies
• Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing/assembly
• Surface-mounted device (SMD), conventional automatic and manual placement

Our production headquarter itself has the overall production management responsibilities. The final assembly, hi-pot, burn-in and final test activities are carried out on their site. The outcome of the production travel card and the final test data will be stored for at least 5 years. Furthermore, all material sources for every individual power supply are fully traceable.

Quality Assurance
The complete production quality assurance includes;

• A customer and manufacturer approval for all intended changes in the design by using an official Engineering Change Proposal
• Inspection and acceptance of incoming parts and components on an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) base (MIL-105D )
• In process production quality control
• Final test, Hi-pot and burn-in on all produced units
• Full traceability for at least 5 years

UL / ISO 9001:2000

Since the start of 1995, our factory is UL inspected on a regular base. Moreover, in 1999, our production achieved the ISO 9002:1994 certification. This certificate was updated and assessed by the BSI in 2001 according to the management standard ISO 9001: 2000.

Environmental issues, Lead free & RoHS
Since 2004, TekPower is manufacturing power supplies, which are lead free and according to RoHS directives. TekPower obtained the environmental management system ISO 14001:2004 certificate in 2006. In order to check the presence of any hazardous substance, TekPower acquired a so called Hazardous Substance Monitor.

Green mode, Energy Star, LPS & Class 2.
In order to conserve energy, green mode technology is being integrated into some of our power supplies. This technology regulates the power flow into the power supply and reduces the waste of standby power dramatically. Besides green mode, several of our power supplies conform to standards such as, for instance, Energy Star, Limited Power Source (LPS) (UL 60950), Class 2 (UL 1310) and safety of medical electrical equipment (UL 60601).

Production for third parties
Due to a nearly unlimited production capacity in Taiwan, our organisation is very suitable in adopting the complete technical coordination and logistics of any required sub-assembly or end-product.

Additional services
Depending on the customer requirements we can take care of a complete individual measuring report, a full traceability of used components, distribution, special packaging and European based incoming inspection.
